Les Miserables was adapted into a Classics Illustrated comic in the mid-1940s. This comic follows the plot of the original novel closely except that it ends with Valjean, Cossette and her husband leaving France for America, unlike the English adaptation, Beware The Bloodhound . which retains the original ending. Other installments of the Classics Illustrated were updated later on, but this may not have been one of them.
