Avery Taylor (born May 1980) is an American actress who, as a child, portrayed the character of Young Eponine on Broadway in 1991 in Les Miserables. She shared her part with child actress Dasha Besshaposhinikova. Avery was eleven years old at the time.

She, unlike her fellow young actress, proceeded to try and become an actress in her adult life. She was partly unsuccessful, but has had a few roles onstage, though none of them on Broadway. She had made her stage debut at the age of nine as part of the chorus of Oliver!

The picture to the right features Avery at age eleven. It was her annual school picture of that year.

Personal Life[]

Childhood[]

Avery Taylor was born on May 13, 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia, Unites States to Rebecca "Beccy" and Arnold Taylor. She spent her earliest years there in the suburbs of the city, in a typical middle-class American home with the family dog, Beau, a Great Dane, and her elder sister Camilla (born October 1978). She went to a gymnastics class for young children and sometimes enjoyed playing baseball with the boys.

In 1987, however, Avery's family moved to New Jersey after her father unexpectedly lost his job at a bank, and there both her parents found work as grocery store clerks in New York. This meant that, although she lived in New Jersey, Avery spent a lot of her time in Manhattan, and saved up allowance for a year to see a Broadway show with her school friends. She instantly got attached to the idea of stage and began attending drama classes. Just a year later she made her debut onstage in the chorus of Oliver!

Life Today[]

In 2006, Avery Taylor met and, in 2009, married her husband Liam Carson, and is now Avery Carson. She has also moved to Canada in the quiet town of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Her sister Camilla returned to Georgia in 2004, but she is not married.

Avery and Liam now also have a Jack Russell terrier named Velcro. In 2012, they had a son, Silas, forcing Avery from acting for a few years, but she plans on returning to the stage when her son is a little older.
