"Éponine's Errand" is an important scene in which Marius asks Éponine to discover where Cosette lives and then take him to her. It is clear that Éponine is reluctant to encourage the brewing romance between Marius and Cosette, but because of her love for Marius, she cooperates. This scene is not in the book in the same way. The music was based off Eponine's orginal solo called L'un vers l'autre, which was later replaced by On My Own.
