Hi! I have a question. Why do people hate/not like Javert? He's my favorite character and his character development is amazing even tho he commits suicide (Which is super sad) Also who do you ship with Marius? I ship him with Eponine
Javert failed to recognize that people like Jean Valjean could change, until Valjean saves his life and also carries Marius home (which leads to his suicide) He was the law and the law was kind of broken. Still I don't think it's worth hating on Javert, he's not evil just more misguided.
I never knew people disliked Javert! I personally think he is one of the best characters! The people who hate him don't get him, he thinks he is doing righteous deeds.
I personally ship Marius with Cosette. But I feel so bad for Eponine and think the two could have made a nice couple.
