<p>Do you think that there is any possibility of Eponine surviving? She kind of insisted that Marius just leave her wound alone, and he went with it. If he hadn't listened to her and tried to do something, is it possible for Eponine to have lived?
</p><p>My other question is, what do you think might have happened to Eponine if she in fact had survived? How do you think her life might have ended up? Was she better off dying that day in Marius' arms or living on to pursue the unknown?

<p>Well, yes. She might have survived if he attended to her wound. I don't think there's a possibility for her to be alive because she was one of the spirits in Valjean's Death. In The Brick's case, if she survived, she would have went to Marius and Cosette for help as Mme. Thénardier already died in prison, and Thénardier and Azelma already moved to America where Thénardier became a slave trader. It was better that she died (though it hurts me on the inside) in Marius' arms content than to have survived and meet other conflicts in her life as she already faced so much. And it would hurt her if she saw Marius and Cosette being all sweet and lovey-dovey. I'm going to quote Harry Potter here: <i>"Do not pity the dead, Harry. <p>She would have most likely been heartbroken and died because of that, similar to Valjean's death. Her intention when going to the Barricades was to die with Marius (according to the book anyway). She died in Marius's arms, which was what she wanted. Let her soul rest. For those of you who didn't read the book, read it just for her last words. It's hella more sad than her last words in the 2012 movie.
